The project
Keeping the building, rebuilding the inside.
This refurbishment project on Carrer Granada del Penedès, in Barcelona's Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district, was the full refurbishment of the building, keeping the façades, the doors and the original structure, with the aim of preserving as much of its character and architectural essence as possible.
During the works, the emphasis was on the reuse of the existing materials and on an approach that respected the spirit of the building, combining tradition with present-day construction solutions.
The result was four homes of between 60 and 80 m², a penthouse with a 160 m² private terrace, a car park for six vehicles and a commercial unit.
Every space was designed with functionality, energy efficiency and the quality of the finishes as the priorities.
