The project
A new envelope, free of asbestos.
The refurbishment project for this building, located in Barcelona, had as its main aim the structural, energy and health improvement of the property through a full renovation of its envelope.
The work included specialised controlled removal of asbestos cement elements, replacement of the downpipes with metal ducting and the installation of an external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS), significantly improving the building's energy efficiency.
The window sills were also renewed and a traditional one-coat render was applied, resulting in a renovated façade that is safe and aesthetically integrated.
The result is a refurbished building, energy-efficient and brought up to current standards of safety, comfort and sustainability.
